Adviser on African and Caribbean Cultures
Amina is a political scientist, early childhood educator, with a PhD in Cultural Studies at the University of the West Indies, and Director of the Culture in Education Programme in the Ministry of Education, Jamaica. But above all she is an accomplished storyteller, writer, director, performer, and custodian of the oral tradition. Through her academic research, Amina is an expert in African and Caribbean oral traditions and traditional stories.
