Adviser on education issues from the Global South

Dick is a social geographer, educator and writer who has worked as a teacher, head teacher and consultant on educational projects in Tunisia (1974), Zambia (1975-1977), Rwanda (1996, after the Tutsi genocide), South Africa (2000-2007, after Apartheid), Palestine (2005-2007), Kenya (2008-2018), Uganda (2008) and Sri Lanka (2018-2020). As a writer, particularly noteworthy is his book “Elegy of the Earth” (2021). He is currently writing a book about how the African philosophy of Ubuntu changed his worldview.
