Donald Smith (Scotland)

Director of the Scottish Storytelling Centre

A storyteller, playwright, novelist and performance poet, Donald chaired the Committee that established the National Theatre of Scotland and became its founding Director. First Chair of the Literature Forum for Scotland, Donald has produced, adapted or directed over fifty plays and published numerous books. He is the founder and director of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival, in which storytellers from all over the planet have been gathering for more than 30 years.
