Adviser on Celtic Cultures

George is the seanachaidh –keeper of the oral tradition, tribal memory– of the Macpherson and MacLeod clans in the Scottish Highlands, a charge that has been passed down from grandfather to grandson for more than two thousand years. He is one of Scotland’s best known storytellers, and has told his stories around the world. He has written a good number of articles and books, including Highland Myths and Legends and The Old Grey Magician, where his knowledge of Celtic traditions becomes obvious.
